Walter George 'Jumbo' Brown
The heaviest player in Major League history was Jumbo Brown
who weighed 295 pounds. Playing from 1925 through 1941, Brown was a right-handed relief pitcher, one of the first
to play that position exclusively.

in the 2nd inning, then watch New York score 10 in the 5th.
The A's fail to score after the 2nd, as pitcher Jumbo
Brown strikes out 12 A's in six 1/3 innings of relief. The Yanks win 17–11.
Not until the Red Sox in 1998 will another opponent tally eleven
runs in an inning at Yankee Stadium.
