After starting out with a tough 9-8 loss in the Friday game against the Newmarket Hawks, the Phoenix boys showed they were ready to play great ball on the weekend!

On Saturday morning, Gregory pitched a complete game 3-hitter, to beat the Georgina Bulldogs 6-2. In their third game, the boys rebounded from an early disadvantage and then knocked off the stubborn Bolton Braves.

Next up were consecutive games against the Markham Mariners. Phoenix handed the Mariners their first loss Saturday evening; early Sunday morning they convincingly beat them again, with Robert pitching 6 superlative innings to post the 'W'.

The Championship Game turned out to be a slugfest, as Richmond Hill played Newmarket at Vaughan Grove Park on Aug 13. After a titanic struggle, the Newmarket bats eventually won the title 11-5.

This was a hard fought tournament in which the Major PeeWee Rep boys put on a super performance ! Congratulations for your great effort !
